Why are WhatsApp Accounts Disabled? Unblocking Tips

WhatsApp, as one of the most popular instant messaging apps in the world, provides convenient chatting and calling features. Many foreign trade users use it to develop clients and contact customers. However, sometimes a user’s WhatsApp account may be disabled, resulting in the inability to use it properly.

I. Reasons for WhatsApp Account Disabled:

WhatsApp account disabled is generally categorized into two situations, temporary disablement and direct blocking.

(i) Temporarily disabled:

If you receive a message in the app stating that your account has been “Temporarily disabled”, this means that:

1. you may be using an unofficial version of WhatsApp

2. you may be collecting information (a.k.a. “scraping”)

After your account has been temporarily banned, please switch to the official app or stop scraping messages. Otherwise, the account will be permanently banned.

(ii) Account blocking:

If your account is blocked, you will see the following message: “This account has been banned from using WhatsApp.” This may be due to the following reasons:

1. Violation of Terms: If a user violates the rules, the account may be blocked. Violations include spamming, misuse of the broadcasting feature, sending illegal and offensive content, scamming, bulk or automated messaging, automated dialing, and more.

2. Device issues: WhatsApp does not yet support simultaneous logins on multiple devices, so if a user tries to log in to their account on more than one device at the same time, this may result in the account being blocked; frequently changing devices and logging in to the same WhatsApp account may alert the system, which may mistakenly think that the account has been stolen, leading to the account being blocked.

3. Phone number: If you are using a new phone number or a virtual cell phone number, a previous user with that phone number may have violated the Terms of Service, which may result in the account being blocked.

4. IP address: If your account IP address changes frequently or multiple accounts use the same IP, or if you use an impure IP that leads to account association, this can also get the account banned.

Other reasons, such as being reported and blocked by too many users, impersonating other users or using fake accounts, obtaining personal data without others’ consent, sending suspected malicious files or viruses, sending a large number of messages to users who have not listed you as a contact, and other behaviors.

II. How to Unblock Your Account:

If you think your account should not be blocked, you should:

1. Request a review on WhatsApp.

2. Send an email to WhatsApp officials.

III. Principles to Follow When Using WhatsApp

To avoid having your account banned again in the future, you should follow these precautions:

1. Ask permission before adding a contact to a group.

2. Only contact users you know well and who are willing to receive messages from you.

3. Do not send promotional messages or duplicate messages without permission.

4. Comply with the Platform’s Terms of Service.

5. Using WhatsApp only from reliable sources such as the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

6. Sign in to your WhatsApp account on a cross-border browser, such as the VMLogin fingerprint browser. This ensures that information such as the IP address of your WhatsApp account and the device you are logged in from is stable. Also, if you have more than one WhatsApp account, you don’t have to worry about account association if you log in at the same time.

Each WhatsApp account has a separate and isolated browser environment, including IP address, hardware device, browser, and cache files such as every cookie, session information, browser fingerprint, MAC address, etc., avoiding the annoyance of account association and reducing the risk of the account being permanently disabled.
